Killing My Lobster's "Graduates 2nd Grade" sketch comedy show.
Artistic Director: Nick Olivero
This show consisted of a series of short vignettes, each directed by a different lobster,
written by a different lobster, and acted by different lobsters.
I wrote the music, lyrics and text for my sketch, called "Doodyhead," and the delightful
and talented Sarah Mitchell directed! Our cast was Nicole Socia and Todd Brotze.
The "Doodyhead" sketch was about a guy who the kids on the playground used to call "Doodyhead"
(Todd Brotze) but who now was all grown up & running his own business. In his mind, he lords
it over all those kids who used to call him named. In comes the auditor (Nicole Socia) - who
turns out to have been the obnoxious "Flash Card Girl" from his same elementary school class!
The two feel an instant connection, and the rest is just pure stage magic...
Venue: The Theatre Rhinoceros in San Francisco, California.
Oh - I also wrote the overall Finale for the show - music & lyrics - which was performed
by the full cast, which included Wylie Hoffman, Joel Dovev, Emily Morrison, Kenny Taylor,
Hafsa Malik, Sarah Mitchell, Todd Brotze, Nicole Socia, Nick Olivero, Carol Lenske,
Chuck Armstrong, and Joe Gorman. Whew!
